How did you come to write spec-fiction romance? What attracted you to the genre?
I've always loved reading and writing stories from a very young age. I grew up inhaling horror books and movies, my favorite author being Richard Laymon, so telling stories has always been a part of my life. My father is also an author, so I grew up with a lot of books in houses, and he used to read to me a lot of darker fairy tales growing up, which I really think is what influenced my passion for mythology and the supernatural :)

I actually really enjoy co-authoring as it means there are two of us to brainstorm the story, you're only writing half a story since you're sharing, and there's lots of behind the scene funnies. There are also two of you promoting the books for more exposure. It is super important though to ensure you select the right co-author as I've had some issues in the past with some. You want to ensure you and your co-write really get along, you both write similarly, and support one another. It's a relationship at the end of the day which means respecting each other and not seeing each other as competition. In my experience, I've found it's a great way to also create some wonderful friendships.
Are you a plotter? Panster? Or somewhere in-between?

I'm a plotter and when I start crafting a story, often some scenes will veer off the pain path. I love this aspect because it leads to some incredible twists in the story.
Do you have a favourite of your characters?
Do you have a favourite of your characters?
That's so hard as I love them all. Right now, I'm adoring my heroine, Sasha, and hero, Kaden from my upcoming release - Bind Me. The fire and tension between them is off the charts, and I'm loving all their bantering. He's an Alpha kraken shifter, new in this world and he's just found his fated mate, but Sasha, a mermaid, who is a bounty hunter has no intention of settling down when she has a killer to track down. I'm loving how well these are bouncing off each other.

Do you have advice for emerging writers?
I found it incredibly valuable to network with authors and not confine yourself to just one or two author groups. There's a wealth of information out there on writing, and often you need to explore a bit to find what truly works for you. From my own experience, I've learned that not all advice is equally beneficial. Looking back, I wish I had stepped out of the more comfortable author groups I started with sooner.
What are you currently reading/watching?
I just finished binging, Resident Alien, season 3. It's hilarious. And I'm currently reading Cross My Heart by Roxy Sloane :
