CONTESTS
BOOK COVERS & RELEASE DATES
C.M.Simpson's Shadow's Rise, the first book in her dark fantasy trilogy, was released on January 1, 2013 and is available through Smashwords, Amazon Kindle and CreateSpace.
When the gods discover an ancient power has suborned a king, and now menaces their domains, they must find agents to act on their behalf. Will a goddess’s temper over losing a favorite to the cause stand in their way? Or the capture of one of their chosen mean the attempt is doomed to fail before it has begun?
Lilliana Rose has a 'long' short story New Skies, a f/f sweet romance, coming out on the 16/1/2013 with Less Than Three Press.
All Opal wants is to spend time with her beautiful, fiery lover and continue to build a life together—when she's not building and testing new inventions. But their peace and happiness is shattered by the appearance of a ghost—a ghost Opal does not believe in despite the evidence.
Akeisha is on a mission to be chosen as part of a harem for the desert king, Judas. She’ll use her body to entice and beguile, do anything it takes to save the near-extinct larakytes, her shape-shifting silver panther tribe, from Judas’ human subjects, who are trying to eradicate them.
She never expects to succumb to the wild ecstasy in his arms, a pleasure that threatens to expose her inner cat even as it transcends anything she’s ever felt from one of her own kind.
Falling in love with a human enemy was never part of the plan, but maybe there’s more to Judas than meets the eye.
S.E.Gilchrist is bringing out a new erotic fantasy romance series. The first novella, Bound By Love, is out now, and the second is likely to be released in February 2013.
Whilst searching for the mortal mother who bore than abandoned her, a pixie princess becomes the unwitting pawn in a warrior’s thirst for vengeance against her father. But neither are prepared for the passion and love that binds them together. Nor, the hatred that may tear them apart.
REVIEWS
Peta Crake has received a lovely review for Harbinger from Tahlia Newland's blog:
"Harbinger is a gritty tale about a girl who works as a messenger for the fickle Athenian gods. Crake’s gods are as devious and arrogant as their ancient stories make them out to be, and her characterisation of said gods living modern lives is the most outstanding aspect of this book. She manages to combine modern sensibilities with the occasional display of godly powers that make you sit up and remember that these flawed beings are still gods...Full review here.
The writing can’t be faulted and the plot is excellent—unpredictable, full of action and well paced...if you’re into dark urban fantasy, you’ll probably love it."
Denise Rossetti's The Dark Rose has been receiving some great reviews! What readers have said:
"If you're like me, you'll be sad at leaving the Four-Sided Pentacle series (yes this is the last book...sob!) - but what a way to wrap it up ... Rose and Quin, together with the rest of the Pentacle sides take us to a spectacular conclusion. Ms Rossetti wraps up the series so satisfyingly it's almost a balm to the fact it's the last book. Read it now!"And:
"Just finished The Dark Rose! Loved it, loved it, loved it!!! Blew off my homework to finish but it was worth it."Guilty As Sin, also by Denise Rossetti, has been receiving rave reviews.
"[Denise]... is one of the best romance/erotica writers on the scene today. Her story teller and world building are fabulous. And she's a sweet person also. Denise Rossetti is definitely in my top 5 of romance authors. Don't miss her."And:
"One of the things I love about Denise Rossetti's menages is that you don't feel as if the relationship between the two men in the triad is somehow just incidental. I always come away feeling that everyone involved is deeply in love with the each other. I love that ... This fantasy world is well developed and I love the fact that we get to see old friends from books past."And:
"There are very few writers of M/M/F stories I will read and Denise is one of them. I think it is because the relationship between each of the members of the triad is explored ... Daxriel, Liseriel and Michael captivated me from the beginning. Though Dax was nicknamed "Farm Boy" by Michael, because of his perceived simplicity of character, holding onto his rock solid foundation is one the keystones and strengths of the story ... Thanks Denise for a wonderful story."
My Book Chatter reviewed Flesh by Kylie Scott and gave it a 5 star rating!
"I bought this book because a friend recommended it, but I held off reading it because it has Zombies in it. Yeah, zombies aren't really my thing, I'm not a fan. ... OMG, when am I going to learn?!! (some friends know what they're talking about!!). Flesh by Kylie Scott more than floated my boat, in fact my DH threatened me with an unladylike throwing out of bed if I didn't get up - but I refused to move until I finished this totally engrossing, surprisingly addictive, very sexy story."And Sean the Bookonaut gave it a 4 star rating.
"... Scott’s energy and humour in the free first chapter that intrigued me and the rest of the novel didn’t disappoint. Flesh features a good number of sex scenes, some unconventional and kinky but these are carried along by well structured action story and some decent emotional characterisations ... In all seriousness, it’s a good blend of erotica, action and romance. The romance tag might put male readers off, but I’d say they’d be missing out."Room With a View from Kylie Scott also received a 5 star rating.
"I have to say Kylie Scott did not disappoint. This is a short, hot little read. I had no trouble believing the love between the characters was real. Her world of flesh eating Zombies and steamy scenes left me hungry for more."
